The SMT MONI LOG MicroShockDetector Plus

SMT Elektronik test and measurement solutions are available in Canada through Durham Instruments, such as a recent upgrade of the manufacturer’s MONI LOG MicroShockDetector: the MONI LOG MicroShockDetector Plus. This is a compact, lightweight, innovative shock detector and data logger that can register the 200 biggest shock events in three axes.

With the MicroShockDetector Plus, users can monitor not just shock information, but also temperature, humidity, air pressure, and light.

Smaller than a Smartphone

This lightweight shock detector is a versatile tool that suits many industries. Durham Instruments recommends it for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, and transportation.

Safe, demonstrable protection during transport and storage is required for high-sensitivity devices like large, superconducting magnets used for medical technology. The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector Plus is perfect for this task. Smaller than a Smartphone and weighing 180 grams, this instrument reliable stores all information on shocks of every dimension, assigns them to acceleration classes, provides curve progressions, and reports alarms immediately when limit values are surpassed.

It is easy to configure this device’s switch-on time. All data can be read out through the USB port, transferred to a computer, and instantly evaluated. The MONI LOG MicroShockDetector also has an option to read out the status report with a Smartphone through NFC. The free app sends the read status report as a PDF file by e-mail. The instrument can be installed and dismantled quickly with adhesive pads, screws, or supplied magnetic holding feet. Other advantages of this product:

  • ability to save ten curve progressions of the largest shocks
  • alarm LED that indicates limit-value overruns
  • communication via USB and NFC
  • configurable recording time over start-stop time
  • constant recording of temperature, humidity, light, and air pressure
  • easy mounting with adhesive pad, screws, or magnetic feet
  • free app that enables reading of status reports through NFC with a Smartphone
  • intelligent signal filtering and evaluation
  • intuitive operation, with long, independent operational time
  • licence-free PC software for simple configuration and evaluation
