Mod-Tronic Instruments is Canada’s source for SINEAX power transducers

Camille Bauer manufactures power transducers.

Camille Bauer Metrawatt AG has mastered test and measurement instrumentation for more than 75 years, and Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. is proud to be Canada’s premier supplier of these devices. Many of these units fall under the SINEAX brand name, including four models of power transducers. This line makes up just part of the supplier’s impressive range of devices for electrical power measurement.

One to three analog outputs

These SINEAX transducers vary in terms of input options, output options, and features. The one specification that all four designs have in common: each one is powered with 24 to 60 or 85 to 230 VAC/VDC. Camille Bauer offers the P 530 series of active power devices and the Q 531 series of reactive power devices, for example. These are three-phase transducers with balanced or unbalanced load, each with a sinusoidal input. This model is available as a measuring source power to 230 volts.

Next up is the SINEAX M 561 power and current transducer. This model has one analog output and an RS 232 PC programming interface. It measures any one of the following options: P, Q or S, I ~, U ~ (RMS), cos f, sin f, LF, PF, QF, or f. The SINEAX M 562 series of power and current transducers has the same programming interface as the M 562 model does, but it contains two analog outputs and can measure any two of the above-stated options.

The fourth option in terms of power transducers is the SINEAX M 563 power and current transducer. As well as the RS 232 PC programming interface, this model has three analog outputs and measure any three of the same options – P, Q or S, I ~, U ~ (RMS), cos f, sin f, LF, PF, QF, or f.
