The SINEAX TV 808 series of amplifiers and splitters

Camille Bauer Metrawatt AG products are available in Canada via Mod-Tronic Instruments Ltd. The lineup includes the SINEAX brand of signal splitters and amplifiers. The TV 808 series of two-channel isolating amplifiers is designed for electrically insulating, amplifying, and converting DC signals. Workers use these devices for electric insulation of input and output signals respectively to amplify or change the signal level or type (current or voltage) of the input signals.

Wide selection of ranges

The TV 808 series has two channels and provides two independent isolating amplifiers in an extremely small space. It offers a wide selection of input and output ranges, and the user can set the desired one with the help of soldered jumpers and potentiometers. Camille Bauer manufactures a model with one input and two outputs, which allows two electrically insulated outputs to be obtained from only one input signal.

Variants of these signal splitters and amplifiers include 252 standard input and output combinations selected by soldered jumpers, as well as user-specific input and/or output ranges. Each unit operates with a 24-60-volt or 85-230-volt DC/AC power supply.

Other features and benefits of these instruments from Mod-Tronic:

  • electric insulation between inputs/outputs (2.3 kilovolts) and power supply (3.7 kilovolts) to prevent measurement errors from potential leaks;
  • flexibility from more than 250 different input and output combinations, selected by positioning soldered jumpers;
  • nonstandard, user-specific ranges available;
  • provision for either snapping the isolating amplifier onto top-hat rails or securing it with screws to a wall or panel; and
  • housing of only 17½ millimetres, ideal for low space requirements.

In standard versions of these signal splitters and amplifiers, inputs and outputs are set to 0-20 mA. Any of the recommended standard ranges are merely selected by positioning soldered jumpers. The user can achieve the fine adjustment by using the potentiometers “Zero” and “Span”.

These devices fulfill all of the crucial requirements and regulations regarding electromagnetic compatibility in EMC and Safety (IEC 1010 resp. EN 61 010). Camille Bauer has developed, manufactured, and tested this series in strict adherence to the ISO 9001 quality-assurance standard.
