Threaded-plug models available from MOCAP

With its unsurpassed range of protective products for manufacturing operations, MOCAP has satisfied customers for decades. Especially popular with businesses is its line of threaded plastic plugs, which have been designed specially to eliminate the risk of contamination, damage, or moisture effects when items are constantly moved around.

Available in a wide variety of sizes and models, these solutions are most recommended for such production phases as shipping and storage. MOCAP offers seven kinds of threaded plugs.

For standard and metric threads

Manufactured to fit a broad spectrum of standard and metric threads, plus different types of threaded ports, fittings, and assemblies, these threaded plugs come in an impressive selection of styles and materials. They are stocked for immediate shipment, and customers who want smaller quantities can select Mini-Paks or Micro-Paks. The following seven categories of threaded plastic plugs are available in the MOCAP lineup:

• General-purpose plugs. All made of polypropylene and available for metric, British Standard Pipe (BSP), and unified/straight threads. The metric and BSP styles have knurled heads and slots for simple on/off applications, while the others have moulded-in, O-ring-style beads and external lips on the flanges to prevent contamination.
• Plugs for MS-21921 flareless tube and nut assemblies. These are made of low-density polyethylene and offer knurled grips to simplify application, on top of superior seals when tightened by hand.
• Plugs for NPT threads. Polypropylene plugs with hex sockets, square heads, or square-head flanged designs.
• Push-in plugs for SAE and NPT threads. Low-density-polyethylene plugs that are designed to snap into place easily for thread protection.
• Sealing plugs. Available in red polypropylene and yellow nylon for metric, BSP, and unified/straight threads. Versions with factory-fit neoprene O-rings are available for secure seals.
• Threaded plastic plugs. Low-density-polyethylene plugs that are specifically made for flared JIC fittings, flat-faced O-ring fittings, and inverted flared fittings. MOCAP also offers polypropylene versions for straight thread O-ring ports.
• Universal-thread plugs. A low-density-polyethylene version that is designed for top flexibility, fitting numerous thread sizes and types with simple push-in and turn to lock in place.
