Also perfect for chrome-plating operations, MOCAP’s silicone rubber caps and plugs are reusable solutions that contain special silicone materials that resist temperatures of up to 316 degrees Celsius. Customers who need a lower-cost option that withstands temperatures of up to 149 degrees Celsius can invest in MOCAP’s EPDM rubber masking products or high-temperature vinyl masking products.

The MOCAP team stocks these silicone rubber plugs and caps in many sizes for immediate shipment; most of these sizes are also available in Mini-Paks for customers who require quantities smaller than standard case sizes. MOCAP offers the following five variations:

• Silicone rubber caps. Perfect for powder coating, e-coating, and chrome plating. Durable and reusable rubber products available in sizes from 1.8 to 50.8 millimetres (mm).
• Silicone rubber washer plugs. These plugs fit and protect threaded or non-threaded holes while the flanges mask the area around the holes. Sizes range from 2.4 to 10.6 mm.
• Silicone rubber pull plugs. Also an ideal option for powder coating, e-coating, and chrome plating. Durable and reusable, in diameters running from 2.8 to 11.3 mm and lengths of 15.9, 25, or 25.4 mm.
• Silicone rubber tapered plugs. The MSP series has a tapered design enables masking of various hole diameters. Small diameters from 1.6 to 88.9 mm; large diameters from 4.7 to 127 mm; lengths from 19.1 to 50.8 mm.
• Silicone rubber hollow tapered plugs. The MHSP series is like the MSP line, but consists of larger models with hollow ends for cost savings. Small diameters from 21 to 88.9 mm; large diameters from 27 to 127 mm; lengths from 28.3 to 50.8 mm.
