MOCAP’s broad portfolio includes three types of threaded plastic caps

The lineup includes three types of protective caps: tapered, threaded, and friction fit caps. MOCAP’s threaded caps are designed to protect threads and fittings from damage.

These threaded plastic caps are perfect for protecting items against moisture, contamination, dust, and other types of damage during production, storage, or shipping.

Knurled grips for easy application

MOCAP constructs these threaded caps out of red, low-density polyethylene, adding knurled grips for easy application. Another key advantage of these caps is that each has a seal superior to those of other caps, which users can apply with simple hand tightening.

MOCAP threaded plastic caps are useful not just for protection; they are also ideal for masking applications during painting and plating. The company has stocked these products for immediate shipment, available in various sizes in mini-paks and micro-packs as well as in regular case quantities.

Three different series of threaded caps are available from MOCAP. The BGC series is designed for British Standard Pipe threads and fittings from 1/8-28 to 1-1/12-11. MOCAP offers 13 sizes ranging in length from 9.6 to 27.6 millimetres (mm) and four to eight in rib count. The CMT series is made for metric threads and fittings ranging from M8 to M52. Twenty different sizes are available, ranging in length from ten to 16 mm and in rib count from four to eight.

MOCAP’s third series of threaded plastic caps, the FLC series, is built for flared JIC fittings from 3/8-24 to 1-7/8 and 3/16 to 1½ tubes. The company offers 33 different sizes, with tube sizes going from 4.8 to 38.1 mm, lengths from 7.6 to 25.4 mm, and rib counts from four to eight.
