MOCAP threaded plugs are perfect for protecting threads and fittings

MOCAP offers a good variety of threaded plugs.

One of the most popular industrial protective products that MOCAP provides is its line of threaded plugs. These units are designed specifically to protect threads and fittings from moisture, contamination, and damage during such risky manufacturing phases as production, shipping, and storage, during which products get moved a lot.

From general-purpose threaded plugs to sealing plugs, universal-thread ones and a variety of different shapes, these products come in a variety of designs.

Fitting many styles of threads

MOCAP’s inventory of threaded plugs are manufactured in an assortment of styles and materials and have been designed to fit a variety of standard and metric threads, as well as different types of threaded ports, fittings, and assemblies.

The company’s lineup includes the following examples:

• General-purpose plugs. Made out of polypropylene, these plugs are available for metric, British Standard Pipe (BSP), and unified/straight threads; the metric and BSP styles have knurled heads and slot for simple on/off application, and the others have moulded-in, O-ring-style beads and external lips on the flanges to keep contaminants out.
• Sealing plugs. Available in red polypropylene and yellow nylon, for metric, BSP, and unified/straight threads. Sealing plugs with factory-fit neoprene O-rings are also available for secure seals.
• Plugs for NPT threads. Polypropylene plugs with hex sockets, square heads, or square-head flanged designs.
• Threaded plastic plugs. Low-density-polyethylene plugs designed for flared JIC fittings, flat-faced O-ring fittings, or inverted flared fittings. Polypropylene variations for straight thread O-ring ports also available.
• Plugs for MS-21921 flareless tube and nut assemblies. Constructed from low-density polyethylene, these plugs have knurled grips to simplify application and provide superior seals when hand-tightened.
• Universal-thread plugs. Another low-density-polyethylene variation, but designed for maximum flexibility. These fit many thread types and sizes with their easy push-in and turn to lock in place.
• Push-in plugs for SAE and NPT threads. Low-density-polyethylene plugs designed to snap into place easily to protect threads.

As with other MOCAP products, these threaded plugs are stocked for immediate shipment. All sizes are available in Mini-Paks and Micro-Paks for clients who require smaller quantities.
