MOCAP tear-tab plastic caps are ideal tools for many applications

Four series of tear-tab plastic caps are available.

For nearly four decades, MOCAP has specialized in plastic, rubber, and vinyl solutions to offer product protection for North American industry. Customers rely on the company line of tear-tab plastic caps for their versatility. These caps are constructed to fit over threaded tubing and rods and are ideal for many applications. Common uses for tear-tab plastic caps include as shipping caps, end caps, pipe caps, product protectors, and thread protectors.

With innovative lock function

A major advantage of using these caps is their innovative lock function: each one has inner rings that securely lock it onto threads, and after the application is complete, the user pulls an easy-grip tear tab to break the seal. All MOCAP tear-tab plastic caps are made of low-density polyethylene.

The following four models are available from MOCAP:

• TSC Series for straight threads – available in 14 sizes and designed to fit straight threads measuring from 3/8-24 to 1-7/16-12 in size. The inner lengths range from 11.2 to 21.1 millimetres (mm), while the inner diameters go from 9.4 to 36.3 mm in length.
• TCM Series for metric threads – six sizes available in this category, designed for tubes and fittings that have metric threads that run from M12 to M22 in size. The inner lengths range from 12 to 20 mm, and the inner diameters go from 12 to 22 mm.
• TCBSP Series for BSP threads – seven sizes of this cap series, all made to fit BSP threads running from ¼-19 to 1-11. The inner lengths go from 11 to 25 mm, while the inner diameters range from 12.9 to 32.9 mm.
• TCNPT series for NPT threads – available in 11 sizes, for tubes and fittings with NPT threads from 1/8 to 3 in size. Inner lengths go from 8.1 to 35.3 mm. Small and large inner diameters are available, from 9.8 to 88.9 mm.

The MOCAP inventory carries tear-tab plastic caps for immediate shipment in boxes containing up to 5,000, depending on size. For clients who need smaller quantities, MOCAP also has Micro-Packs and Mini-Packs.
