MOCAP tapered plugs protect items from moisture, contamination, and more

MOCAP makes ten kinds of tapered plugs, in a line that is one of three categories of plugs available: in addition to tapered plugs, the company makes threaded and friction-fit plugs.

LDPE, EPDM, paper, or silicone

MOCAP offers the following models of tapered plugs:

• Centre pull plugs – like standard MOCAP tapered LDPE plug caps, but with centre pull tabs for easy removal. Almost 40 sizes, all red.
• Centre pull plugs with wide flanges – for better surface-area protection. Extra-strong tabs ensure that plugs do not break off. Fourteen sizes are available.
• EPDM tapered plugs – black, rubber, chemical-resistant tapered plugs that withstand temperatures as high as 149 degrees Celsius. Available in 23 sizes.
• Outside pull tapered plugs – with off-centred tabs to allow tight-fitting plugs to be pulled out more easily from the side. More than 30 sizes.
• Paper tapered plugs – economical, environmentally friendly light-brown plugs made from recycled paper that do not promote condensation. Twenty-one sizes are available.
• Silicone tapered plugs – available in 23 sizes and able to handle temperatures of up to 316 degrees Celsius.
• Tapered plug caps – red protectors with a unique dual-function closure that allows workers to use them as caps or plugs. Easy to remove, they also provide secure fitting with their tough LDPE construction. Available in nearly 100 sizes, constructed to fit various diameters.
• Thick extra-wide-flange plug caps – the widest flange in the MOCAP plug-cap line. Yellow and available in 14 sizes. Ideal for tube and hydraulic fittings, tube end caps, or pipe caps.
• Thick wide-flange plug caps – with thicker, wider flanges for easier handling. Yellow colour for visibility. Compliant with the standards of the aerospace and military industries. More than 50 sizes available.
• Wide-flange plug caps – like tapered plug caps, with wider flanges for extra protection for external surfaces and to prevent users from pushing them all the way through openings. 24 sizes available.
