MOCAP produces its caps in three different materials and three basic models. Hundreds of sizes, shapes, and designs of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic caps and plugs are available. For vinyl dip-moulded plastic protective caps, the company uses a special process that results in custom, flexible PVC caps and allows customers to specify length, wall thickness, colour, surface texture, and hardness – with no additional tooling charges. MOCAP also has a broad range of rubber caps, EPDM or silicone, which suit paint, powder-coating, and spray-masking applications. The company stocks many sizes to ship immediately.

The three models of protective caps that MOCAP offers are as follows:

• Friction fit caps. Designed to protect threads and fittings from moisture, contamination, and damage. Friction fit caps are non-threaded, enabling users to slide them easily into place and remove them with little effort. Options include round, square, hex, flat, hanger, pull-tab, and straight caps, as well as plastic, paper, EPDM, and silicone variations, each in a different colour.
• Tapered caps. Also designed to protect threads and fittings from moisture, contamination, and damage. MOCAP offers red tapered plug caps, red wide-flange plug caps, yellow thick wide-flange plug caps, yellow thick extra-wide-flange plug caps, and brown paper tapered caps.
• Threaded caps. MOCAP’s red threaded polyethylene caps perform a similar function to those of the other two kinds, but they are knurled for easy application and handling. Three options available, for BSP/gas fittings, metric threads, or flared JIC fittings. All sizes are available in Mini-Paks and Micro-Packs for customers who require fewer than case quantities.
