Threaded plastic caps come in three MOCAP series.

Since it was founded in 1982, MOCAP has expanded into North America’s top manufacturer of rubber, plastic, and vinyl products for protecting, masking, or finishing tasks. The company offers an unsurpassed portfolio that includes three designs of protective caps – tapered, friction-fit, and threaded plastic caps. The third kind is built specifically to protect threads and fittings from getting damaged. MOCAP recommends them for protecting items against moisture, contamination, dust, and other kinds of damage during production, storage, and shipping phases.

Wide range of sizes available

These threaded caps are made out of red, low-density polyethylene, and the MOCAP team adds knurled grips to make them easier to apply. Users particularly benefit from the seals, which are stronger than those on caps from competing manufacturers and which can be applied with simple hand tightening. While many customers use these plastic caps for protection purposes, these units are also perfectly suited for masking applications during painting and plating tasks.

MOCAP offers three different series of threaded plastic caps:

• BGC series. These caps are designed for British Standard Pipe threads and fittings ranging from 1/8-28 to 1-1/12-11. Thirteen sizes are available, going from 9.6 to 27.6 millimetres (mm) in length and four to eight in rib count.
• CMT series. Constructed for metric threads and fittings that range from M8 to M52. MOCAP offers 20 different sizes, which range in length from ten to 16 mm and in rib count from four to eight.
• FJC series. This series has been made for flared JIC fittings ranging from 3/8-24 to 1-7/8 and 3/16 to 1½ tubes. There are 33 sizes available, with tube sizes ranging from 4.8 to 38.1 mm, lengths from 7.6 to 25.4 mm, and rib counts from four to eight.

These threaded plastic caps are stocked at MOCAP headquarters for immediate shipment. They are available in mini-paks, micro-packs, and regular case quantities.
