The unmatched portfolio of protective items available from MOCAP includes various friction fit caps – non-threaded caps designed to protect fittings and threads from moisture, contamination, and other damage during production, shipping, and storage. The company offers them in a wide range of colours, shapes, sizes, and materials. A major benefit of friction fit caps is their easy installation; users slide them into place and remove them with minimal effort.

The 13 models available

These units are stocked for immediate shipment, and samples can be ordered through the company website. The following 13 types of friction fit caps are available:

• EPDM rubber caps – chemical-resistant protectors that withstand temperatures as high as 149 degrees Celsius.
• Flanged plastic caps – non-threaded caps designed to protect metric, straight, BSP, or NPT threads. MOCAP offers white and red long flanged caps for straight threads.
• Flat caps and grips – unique, vinyl dip-moulded caps recommended for handles, tools, grips, and ends.
• Hex vinyl caps – tough, flexible caps for hex head bolts, nuts, and fittings.
• Paper straight caps – economical, light-brown caps made of recycled paper. Withstand temperatures up to 204 degrees Celsius.
• Pipe caps – black caps that fit threaded pipe ends with high flexibility.
• Pull-tab vinyl caps – ergonomically designed caps that protect items from contamination and moisture, with pull tabs for easy removal.
• Round vinyl caps – inexpensive vinyl plastic caps with flexibility and a pliable feel for tough protection. Other colours are available, but black is the standard off-the-shelf model.
• Silicone caps – orange caps for powder-coating and e-coating applications.
• Square vinyl caps – tough yet flexible vinyl plastic caps that stretch over square shapes. Various colours available.
• Straight plastic caps – now available in two versions: one with a knurled top, one with a standard/plain top. Also available in LDPE and flexible TPE. All form a snug friction fit over tubing, rods, or fittings.
• Tear tab plastic caps – red caps that fit securely over threaded tubing, rods, and fittings, with fast removal via easy-grip tabs.
• Vinyl hanger caps – tough, flexible round caps in multiple colours for strong holds and tight fits.
