Bergen carries two models of miniature cables.

Bergen Cable supplies a wide spectrum of industrial cable products for a broad variety of customers, such as standard cable assemblies, lanyards, Safety Cable, and Lock Clad cable. The large selection also includes two brands of miniature cables, both of them designed for applications in confined spaces – Microlin and Posilign. Bergen’s miniature cables are recommended for robotics, medical devices, electronics, aircraft interiors, and other applications that cannot compromise on mechanical reliability.

Route easily around bulkheads, obstructions

Only a cable that offers high flexibility, durability, and corrosion resistance can work for confined-space tasks, and these Bergen miniature cables are the perfect option. Of the two types available, Microlin cable is manufactured with diameters ranging from 0.01 to 0.048 inches, and it has breaking strengths as high as almost 80 kilograms. Microlin cable is available either bare or with a nylon jacket for extra durability. The user can route the cable easily around bulkheads and obstructions with no risk of the cable losing any of its flexibility or fatigue resistance, due to the miniature materials and sizes.

A complete lineup of off-the-shelf fittings is available for Microlin cable assemblies, in addition to the cable type. Among the options are threaded, eye, ball, plug (hex swage), and loop sleeve fittings. Most of these fittings are made of stainless steel, but a few of them are built out of brass.

Posilign miniature cables offer the same advantages that the Microlin design does, but they also enable minimal elongations when under load by eliminating constructional stretch. Removing this stretch allows the cable to adjust more accurately, with minimal secondary adjustment to cable assemblies. Some sizes are available from Bergen with clear or blue nylon jackets. Minimum breaking strengths range from 19 to 175 pounds, and the maximum working loads go from 3.8 to 38 pounds.

The Microlin and Posilign designs of miniature cables come in different sizes, weights, working loads, and diameters. Bergen’s product diversity offers many different solutions for its customer base that benefit from the selection of materials, high strength, tight tolerances, and a broad variety of fittings.
