High-performance alternative to standard polyimide

MINCO’s series of polyimide thermofoil heaters comprises thin, flexible heating solutions that work for temperatures from -200 to 200 degrees Celsius. They are perfect for applications with space and weight limitations, or in which the heater is exposed to vacuum, oil, or chemicals. Their etched-foil heating technology offers quick, efficient thermal transfer. Mod-Tronic also carries MINCO all-polyimide heaters, a high-performance alternative to the standard polyimide model, enabling higher temperatures and watt densities. Other options available:

• Mica heaters. With etched foil elements sandwiched between mica layers. Users install them by clamping them to heat sinks, and they offer the ultimate temperature and wattage capability for quick warmup.
• Stock silicone rubber heaters. Silicone rubber is a rugged, flexible elastomer material with excellent temperature properties, most suitable for larger heaters and industrial applications. Not appropriate for radiation, vacuum, or prolonged exposure to oil.
• Silicone rubber wire-wound heaters. Rugged construction and high ductility that enable repeated flexing for simpler installation, with uniform heating up to 220 degrees Celsius. Can be mounted to flat or curved surfaces. Lower leakage current because of reduced capacitive coupling?
• SmartHeat SLT heaters. The perfect solution for many challenging heating tasks these days, providing a plug-and-play option that needs only one power source. Applies heating power and modulates it at infinite points across the full heating surface based on the heat load, which allows the unit to offer the required power up to the designed temperature.
• Thermal-Clear transparent heaters. With a micro-thin wire heating element laid in a pattern between optical-grade polyester sheets. These heaters offer dependable heat without blocking light. Rugged materials prevent expensive damage during installation and handling.
