Metal parts manufacturer uses advanced CNC machining centre

Matritech can provide high-speed part production using efficient CNC equipment. The Drummondville, Que.-based metal parts manufacturer continually invests in fixed assets that expand its capabilities. One of the company's latest investments is a horizontal CNC machining centre with two integrated pallet changers.

Efficient CNC machining

This machining centre offers high efficiency with a pallet change time of eight seconds. It also features a 24+1 side-mount tool changer with an average tool-to-tool time of 2.1 seconds. Since Matritech has an experienced tooling department, it can promptly provide special tools and retaining jigs to meet any need. The tool changer can handle all types of tools with its maximum tool weight of 5.4 kilograms (12 pounds) and maximum tool length of 305 millimetres (12 inches) from the gauge line. In addition, the machining centre uses synchronized (rigid) tapping to eliminate the lead-thread distortion and start-thread pullout that’s involved with tapping holes the old-fashioned way.

Some of the other efficient automated equipment Matritech uses includes an automatic bundle saw, a robotic bending cell and CNC bending presses with optic sensors.
