Endress+Hauser's new Memosens 2.0 liquid-analysis technology for pH/ORP, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen is future-proof and IIoT-ready.

Endress+Hauser Canada Ltd. has introduced its Memosens 2.0 liquid-analysis sensors, designed to work with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). This series not only offers safe data transfer for higher availability of the measuring point and trouble-free processes; it also provides a range of potential extra benefits, including a data foundation for predictive maintenance. Memosens 2.0 is already available for pH/ORP, conductivity, and dissolved oxygen, making these liquid-analysis measuring points future-proof.

Non-contact digital data transmission

The technology in these sensors is suitable for all sectors that require liquid analysis. Backwards-compatible and easy to integrate into existing systems, Memosens 2.0 sensors store numerous relevant information, including operating hours, minimum and maximum temperatures and measured values, calibration histories, and load matrices. Businesses can use and process these data for comprehensive analysis and exact process management. These sensors also provide the ideal basis for predictive-maintenance strategies with the Endress+Hauser Heartbeat Technology and enhanced IIoT services through the Netilion cloud ecosystem.

With non-contact digital data transmission, Memosens 2.0 eliminates the effects of moisture, corrosion, and salt bridges with alert messaging if the signal transmission is disturbed. Galvanic isolation guarantees measurement without interference and EMC safety. Supporting operations as per stringent guidelines of regulated industries, Memobase Plus software offers full traceability of all sensors used.

Memobase 2.0 sensors can be calibrated and adjusted under laboratory conditions favourable for the operator and stable for exact results, as they are equipped with highly integrated electronics. Field replacement is easy and fast, saving labour expenses, due to the lockable bayonet connector and automatic sensor identification by the transmitter. In addition, using pre-calibrated sensors lowers process downtime, while regular regeneration extends sensor lifetime. Laboratory calibration reduces standby hours for analysis experts.

These sensors also provide error-free flexibility for measuring points in dangerous areas, because users can connect all Ex-rated sensors to all Endress+Hauser transmitters with the respective approval. Endress+Hauser plans to extend this technology to its full liquid-analysis sensor portfolio.
