The change time for pallets is only eight seconds, while the 21+1 side-mount tool changer has an average tool-to-tool time of 2.1 seconds. Matritech staff also have access to a tool changer that operates with different types of tools, with a maximum tool weight of 5.4 kilograms and a maximum tool length of 30½ centimetres from the gauge line. The standard process for hole tapping often results in lead-thread distortion and start-thread pullout, but the company eliminates these issues with synchronized tapping.
