machining capabilities

Constant upgrading of equipment aids Matritech.

For more than 30 years now, Matritech Inc. has been satisfying Canadian businesses with its diverse machining capabilities. Because industry never stops changing or evolving, the company knows it can never rest on its laurels; it has a duty and a responsibility to upgrade its abilities by keeping up with newer technology.

Through constant investment into human and equipment resources over its three-decade history, Matritech remains relevant and able to meet all customer demands.

Versatile range of innovative machinery

Matritech has continued to invest in its fixed assets. Among its property is a versatile range of innovative machinery that allows its staff to offer an unmatched spectrum of services with their machining capabilities. These include laser cutting, robotic welding, CNC machining, tools and dies, stamping and pressing, and bending.

Only five years ago, Matritech bought a horizontal machining centre with two pallet changers. Since then, the company has been able to offer high-speed part production. Its facility in Drummondville, Que. also includes a Mazak Vertical Travelling Column 300C, which is a vertical machining centre with a powerful 10 Taper spindle, a full travelling column, and a long fixed table for long, heavy work pieces. Acquired in 2014, the 300C lowers non-cut time with fast traverse rates. With two CNC bending presses with bending angle optic sensors, three welding robots, and laser equipment, the Matritech team can exploit its machining capabilities with all of the equipment it needs.

Matritech has managed to expand its plant with this constant investment. In 1989, the facility covered 3,200 square feet. Since the expansion in 2011, it measures 85,000 square feet. The ample space enables the company to house myriad resources for machining design and assembly. By serving as a one-stop shop for machining services, Matritech simplifies projects for customers, while simplifying the processes of buying, receiving, and transportation.

The company’s long-term investment in space and equipment still pays off today. Matritech continues to have the most versatile and comprehensive plant in the industry, while it pushes itself to stay ahead of its competition and benefit clients all across Canada.
