metal parts stamping

Stamping and pressing services are available from Matritech.

From laser cutting and robotic welding to extrusion, CNC machining, and assembly, Matritech Inc. can do it all. This Drummondville, Que. company takes pride in its reputation as a one-stop shop for all kinds of industrial services. Yet another important skill that the Matritech team can handle is metal parts stamping and pressing.

Matritech’s personnel have everything they need – from years of training and experience to all the right equipment – to accomplish metal parts stamping in the way every client requires.

Two types of metal stamping

To get the job done, Matritech offers the use of its mechanical presses, which have a pressing capacity of up to 500 tons. These presses are compatible with most tooling or other dies that have been designed and manufactured in the company’s comprehensive, 85,000-square-foot facility. Matritech ensures continuous high-volume production as it performs stamping from blank parts or with metal coils.

Two types of metal parts stamping are available from Matritech. One type, referred to simply as metal stamping, is a transformation procedure that creates flat metal with the help of dies. The other is a manufacturing technique that enables the Matritech crew use a thin piece of sheet metal to form an object that cannot be unbended.

Matritech’s stamping and pressing services offer a number of advantages over those of its competitors, such as the following:

  • Machinery that has large capacity and tables;
  • Significant cost reduction because of material optimization and less labour time; and
  • Easy transitions to high-volume production runs.

The third benefit is possible because Matritech offers two types of manufacturing in the same facility: standard cutting-bending and high-volume stamping. After parts’ records and quality criteria have been coded, transitions between manufacturing techniques are simple.
