This chain lasted only nine months because of rust, caused by exposure to soap and water. When Tsubaki entered the picture, the company switched to a corrosion-resistance NEPTUNE chain, which increased the product life to more than four years – leading to a cost savings of $5,420.

In another case, a large automotive company was experiencing problems with cables installed in their weld robots. The robot movement caused the cables to run against each other, leading to failure between six weeks and six months. The company called Tsubaki for a solution to protect the cables.
