The four major services available

With its broad diversity of technical skills, Ohio Broach personnel offer such services as welding and repair for tools, coatings, assembly and disassembly of broach holder bars, machine and tool troubleshooting, and consultation. The Ohio Broach team provides the following four major services:

• Machine design and engineering – machine-designing skills that are not limited just to Ohio Broach’s own equipment. The company also handles broaching-machine design and construction for specific customer needs. Every custom-designed machine from Ohio Broach comes with an operation and maintenance manual.
• Machine rebuilding – out-of-service equipment converted conveniently into productive pieces of machinery, with all of Ohio Broach’s required skills and experience. First, the team tears down the machine, and then the worn components are cleaned and ground, including ram slides and guide blocks. The company replaces parts that cannot be salvaged. In rebuilding this equipment, Ohio Broach can make any required new components with its grinding machinery and vertical and horizontal CNC milling centres.
• Production broaching – in-house production contract broaching for customers who cannot accommodate their own private broaching equipment. Ohio Broach can offer such available services as internal broaching, broaching of irregular shapes, and surface broaching. All of these services are conducted on the company’s own machines.
• Tool sharpening – such services as precision sharpening, reconditioning, and repairs of broaching tools. Since broaching tools must be very sharp for optimum cutting, Ohio Broach provides sharpening and reconditioning of round broaches, keyways, surface broaches, and form broaches made out of all sorts of high-speed steel. Weld repair is also available from the company.
