Static electricity can cause problems in many industrial applications. It can attract dust and foreign materials, ruin product appearance, produce tearing or jamming, and even zap personnel. EXAIR can solve this problem for manufacturers with its Long Ionizing Bars, which are designed to eliminate static electricity on paper, film and plastics up to 96 inches (2,438 millimetres) wide. 

Compact, yet powerful

The profile of the electrically powered Gen4 Ionizing Bar is compact, allowing it to fit in the confined spaces of machinery where the static charge is generated. The unit’s high concentration of positive and negative ions produces fast static decay, neutralizing any surface within two inches (51 millimetres) of the bar.

Reliable performance

The unit’s unique design offers improved performance and reliability in industrial applications, while its long length allows it to be reliably used across large production lines. In addition, the life expectancy of the Ionizing Bar has been extended by insertion moulding the stainless steel ion emitters into a durable plastic.

Additional details

Ionizing Bars are ideal for slow speed, low static charge applications, and those where they can be mounted within four inches of the charged surface; however, the ability to eliminate static can be greatly improved when attaching EXAIR’s Super Air Knife to the Ionizing Bar. The Gen4 Super Ion Air Knife delivers more ions and is effective from a greater distance, which is ideal for high-speed, high charge applications.
