No other North American manufacturer can match the selection of industrial foot switches available from Linemaster Switch Corporation. Since the company was founded, its signature product has remained the Hercules series of switches – which got its name from being the toughest, most rugged switches in the industry. Linemaster makes more than 20 models in this series, each of which includes a full shield, an “Ox” or “O” shield, or no shield at all.

For the most challenging conditions

The Hercules series is designed to tackle the most challenging work conditions while withstanding harsh abuse. Most models come with built-in foot guards, which gives additional foot protection to users in the field. This innovative, American-made family of heavy-duty foot switches is recommended for a wide range of applications, such as welding and man lifts. Users can rely on the Hercules line’s high functionality and rugged design for a long operational lifespan. Among the common features of these industrial foot switches:

• Alert Orange colour, with custom variations available on request
• Cover with treadle pivot rod protection on select models with “O” shields
• Neoprene cover gasket and O-rings on the activating shaft and a separate grounds crew
• Protection from a strong cast aluminum shield
• Standard ¾-inch, 14 NPT threaded conduit entry
• Treadle and base built from cast iron, for high strength and durability

The models that have oversized “O” and “Ox” shields accept safety shoes and metatarsal foot guards, and the “Ox” design has an extra 19.1-millimetre opening height. The release is achieved in each of the Maintained Contact models simply by pressing the latch with a light forward motion with the toe: the release is placed under the full shield, so that any falling objects cannot release it easily.

All of the electrical foot switches in the Hercules series are drip-tight, watertight, and oil-tight solutions. Each of them also has an IP56 rating and weights between seven and 8½ pounds, with lengths from 8.38 to 9.13 inches.
