The AirVal foot switch by Linemaster

A powerful option among the portfolio of Linemaster Switch Corporation foot switches is the AirVal series. The manufacturer designs these models for long operational life and ease of use – and builds them to meet various needs for foot-operated air valves. Users can select from two-, three-, or four-way operation. A versatile option for tasks that require foot controls from light to heavy duty, the AirVal line also provides two-way and three-way variable flow.

Filtered and lubricated air supply

The AirVal series offers many key features: standard 1/8-27 NPT input and output ports; a plunger that users can depress flush with valve body without damaging the valve; line pressure as high as 150 pounds per square inch (psi); a valve with non-ferrous body, stainless steel plunger, and Teflon-coated buna O-rings; and full and twin guards, plus accessory base units available for configurations that require multiple switches. Users require filtered and lubricated air supply for optimal performance.

Six different models of foot switches make up the Linemaster AirVal series: the Classic, the Clipper, the Twin Clipper & Wide Treadle, the Compact, the Hercules, and the Premier. The Aquiline AirVal is available to customers on special orders in two- or three-way variations, such as variable flow and single- or multi-pedal models. This unit can also come with fittings, tubing, and special paint finishes. Linemaster can supply specialty switches when standard AirVal models do not comply with a specific need.

Four models make up the AirVal Classic family, all with interior housing and operating force of 2½ pounds. Airflow is 20 or 30 cubic feet per minute (CFM) at 100 psi. The three Clipper models have an airflow of 30 CFM and exhaust of 25 CFM at 100 psi, plus operating force of 10 or 19 pounds. Twin Clipper and Wide Treadle have the same airflow and exhaust as the Clipper, but with interior housing and operating force of eight or 10 pounds.

One of the two robust Hercules switches has maintained action as a standard feature. Both these models provide exterior housing and operating force of 19 pounds.
