Linemaster’s air foot switches function reliably in different work environments

Air foot switches are available from Linemaster.

A major producer of foot switches, Linemaster Switch Corporation offers three models of air foot switches in its large portfolio. These products protect critical electrical components in any environment, whether wet or dry. A key benefit of these switches is isolation of the electrically live snap switch from the floor, which offers environmental protection. With twin versions and full twin guards available, these air foot switches have lengthy lifespans and operate in a broad range of applications.

Reinforced, non-reinforced tubing available

For tasks that require full guarding of the foot-switch pedal, certain models will mount in the Linemaster Full Guard 522-B14. The customer may purchase a foot-operated air bulb connected to a remote air-operated electric snap switch in momentary or maintained versions, with an SPDT snap switch. The air bulb is available in optional metal housing. Ten-foot PVC tubing with a 1/8-inch inner diameter connects the foot pedal to the remote air switch, which has a 9/16-inch NF bulkhead mount. The tubing is connected at the foot-switch end for high pull-out protection. Among other features of these air foot switches:

The Air-Seal, Vanguard, and Handbulb make up the three designs of the air foot switches by Linemaster. The Air-Seal weighs half a pound, measures 2.74 by 1.28 by 2.88 inches, offers long, trouble-free life, and is available with black tubing. With strong steel housing, this model has two holes provided for rigid mounting to floors, machinery, or protective guards. Heavy gauge steel guards and an awareness cover are available on request.

The Vanguard weighs 1/5 of a pound and measures 4.59 by 1.26 by 2.77 inches; the Handbulb weighs 0.15 of a pound and measures 2.12 by 1.2 by 1¾ inches. All models have an electrical rating of 20 A 125-250 VAC, one horsepower 125 VAC, or two horsepower 250 VAC.
