The portfolio of industrial foot switches available from Linemaster Switch Corporation is unsurpassed by any other manufacturer. Since the company began, its signature product has remained the Hercules series of switches – so named because these are the toughest and most rugged switches available on the market. Linemaster offers more than 20 models in this series, each of them available with a full shield, an “Ox” or “O” shield, or no shield at all.

Foot guards for additional protection

Built to withstand the most challenging work environments while taking harsh abuse, the Hercules series includes built-in foot guards on most models, to give the user additional foot protection in the field. This innovative, American-made group of heavy-duty switches are recommended for a wide range of applications, from welding to man lifts. With its great functionality and rugged design, users can expect a long operational lifespan out of the Hercules series.

Among the common features of these foot switches from Linemaster:

• treadle and base built from bast iron, for high durability and strength;
• protection from a strong cast aluminum shield;
• Alert Orange colour (with custom variations on request);
• standard ¾-inch, 14 NPT threaded conduit entry;
• neoprene cover gasket and O-rings on the activating shaft and a separate grounds screw; and
• cover with treadle pivot rod protection on select models with “O” shields.

The models with oversized “O” and “Ox” shields accept oversized safety shoes and metatarsal foot guards, and the “Ox” shield has an additional 19.1-millimetre opening height. In each of the Maintained Contact models, the release is achieved just by pressing the latch with a light forward motion with the toe; the release is placed under the full shield, so that falling objects cannot release it easily.

Each of the foot switches in the Hercules group is drip-tight, dust-tight, watertight, and oil-tight. All of them have an IP56 rating, and weights from seven to 8½ pounds, with lengths from 8.38 to 9.13 inches. Special twin and triple models in the are available to any equipment manufacturer on special order.
