Large back blow air nozzle offers safe and effective clean

The inside of hydraulic cylinders, gear boxes and housings are often exposed to debris and liquids from machining processes. EXAIR offers a way to clean the inside diameters of these components effectively and safely — its new 1 NPT Back Blow Air Nozzle.

Air nozzle features and benefits

The new Back Blow Air Nozzle is available in three models — 1004SS, 1006SS and 1008SS. The air nozzles have been designed to effectively blow debris and liquids from pipe or hose inside diameters, axle housings, bores, holes, internal threads and other internal part features found in hydraulic cylinders, gear boxes, differential housings and more. They feature multiple holes, which provide a forceful 360-degree airflow to clear out coolant, chips and light oils from machining processes. In addition, the nozzles prevent blowing chips further into a part, tube or pipe, and eliminate any safety hazard created by blowing debris out the far end of a pipe or tube.

Model 1008SS, the company’s largest back blow nozzle yet, can handle both small and large diameters, and work effectively with diameters up to 16 inches. It offers durability and superior resistance to corrosion thanks to its rugged construction — type 316 stainless steel. In addition, it offers simple installation. The nozzle is designed to fit inside openings as small as two inches, and a secure fit is assured with 4.7-millimetre flats milled on the body. 

Extension pipes of 12, 36 and 72 inches are stocked to provide the necessary reach when cleaning longer tube and pipe. A 1/4 NPT model for ⅞- to four-inch diameters is also available.

The Back Blow Air Nozzle is CE compliant and meets OSHA standards 29 CFR 1910.95(a) and 29 CFR 1910.242(b) for noise and outlet pressure.
