The EPIC® MH modular connector by LAPP

LAPP Canada specializes in innovative connector systems. One of the latest developments is the EPIC^® MH modular connector. This robust system can transmit power, signal, and data all in one connector. It is designed with a stable frame for easy user assembly and for compatibility with other standard modular systems.

EPIC^® MH can handle power of up to 200A and 1,000 volts, making these modular connectors suitable for many applications. Other advantages include a data rate of up to ten gigabits and 138 million housing variations available.

A four-part connector assembly

An EPIC^® MH connector is built by snapping versatile modules for power, signal, or data into a frame. This can then be affixed to any of LAPP’s wide range of EPIC^® rectangular housings. Putting these elements together creates one of the most versatile and powerful electrical connectors on the market.

EPIC^® MH uses fixed frames, as opposed to the hinged frames of market-standard modular systems. The fixed frames enable easy assembly, in that modules can be mounted one-by-one, with each one snapping into the frame securely; by contrast, open hinges allow modules to move or fall out. Another advantage of fixed frames is that they diminish wired cable interference, which allows the user to focus on quick, easy assembly.

Users can optimize the connector’s flexibility with the EPIC^® MH clip, an add-on that enables the mounting of market-standard modules into the fixed frame. Simply place the red clip on the frame and snap your module onto the clip.
