This crew of skilled machinists offers a rare level of commitment and experience, which results in constantly superior precision-machined components. The following five departments contribute to L. & M.’s longtime success:

• Head-office management and engineering – professionals who use their combined knowledge to make sure the firm quotes, makes, and ships top-quality parts that match clients’ specifications. Inside-sales and customer-service reps offer support and timely response. Four professional licenced engineers provide helpful analysis in every project, including design tips that increase functionality or lower costs.
• First operations – highly skilled machinists and operators with the expertise and experience to operate important machines, including CNC equipment and single-spindle Brown & Sharpe or multi-spindle Wickman and Davenport machinery, plus multi-station Hydromat equipment.
• Secondary operations – a fully equipped department with detail-oriented operators and setup experts who complete machining tasks on components and assemblies as per client requirements. Experts in milling, assembly, drilling, tapping, broaching, plunge and centreless grinding, and thread rolling.
• Quality assurance – qualified professionals committed to ensuring that components are produced according to top quality standards. This department makes sure all machinery is calibrated and traceable to ISO 17025 and National Institute of Standards and Technology expectations, using different kinds of measuring and testing equipment. Since 1997, the company has remained ISO 9001-registered.
• Shipping – ensuring timely product delivery by using controlled processes – which includes single-release orders and managing inventories for stock-and-release programs. This department’s focus is to achieve 100 per cent on-time delivery and to meet every relevant schedule and client demand, from storage to packing and delivery.
