A strong quality policy guides every project that the L. & M. team undertakes. The company launched this policy with customer needs in mind. Management evaluates this Quality Assurance Program regularly, directing all internal efforts towards constant improvement.

L. & M.’s quality-assurance team uses gauges, weigh scales, hardness testers, optical comparators, and other instruments that are calibrated and traceable to NIST standards. Sampling plans provide regular sampling before and during product runs, combining human and equipment calibration to comply with all specifications.

The company always develops these sampling plans according to ISO standards, as it has been ISO-registered for more than two decades and is currently registered to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard. PricewaterhouseCoopers conducts an annual audit of L. & M. to ensure that it still meets regular ISO re-certification requirements and ensures that its ISO certificate is always current and up to date.

This quality-assurance process begins before every L. & M. project, and it continues until customers receive their custom machined parts. All team members at the company contribute to this process at some stage, from upfront estimation through engineering and production to shipping the product to the client.
