For almost six decades, L. & M. Precision Products Inc. has been a major supplier of screw-machine and precision-machined parts. The company’s longevity stems from consistent hard work and stamina. Screw Machine Products Ltd. 59 years ago, the firm has expanded into a premier source of custom-machined components for virtually all industries.

A key factor in the company’s unusual staying power is decades of strong leadership, with little turnover in both the management group and the team membership. All employees commit themselves to constant improvement and growth, and they know how to deal with economic downturn. Since 1962, L. & M. has demonstrated an ability to make wise business decisions without being vulnerable to such stresses as recessions and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Growth continues to be a major focus point. The company was established with a small employee base and limited plant space. Now, L. & M. employs more than 70 skilled full-time workers and many temporary staff, and it owns 65,000 square feet of available operating space.

L. & M. has emphasized its mission to invest continuously in new equipment since 2010, resulting in higher production efficiency and new client opportunities. But the shop-floor workers are truly the heart of the company, which is an employee-owned, non-union business – so the workers are personally invested in the company’s continuing success. The majority of L. & M.’s staff have been with the company for more than two decades, which illustrates a rare level of long-term dedication.
