A large collection of first- and secondary-operation equipment is accessible.

As the top screw-machine jobbing shop in Canada, L. & M. Precision Products Inc. counts on a large, diverse selection of equipment to meet custom-machining needs for a large array of clients. With a mix of CNC, multi-station, multi-spindle and single-spindle production equipment, this extensive capability range helps to satisfy an unmatched variety of customer requirements. L. & M. has everything it needs to handle every project successfully, including a wealth of first- and secondary-operation equipment.

Always in peak condition

The plant contains an enormous collection of this type of machinery, a range that keeps expanding as the company keeps investing in new equipment every year. Another key factor is trained staff with expertise in this equipment, not just to operate it, but to maintain and repair it. Machinery is always in peak condition, and any machine that is not working properly is repaired or replaced with top priority.

L. & M. owns two kinds of screw-machine equipment:

  • First-operation screw machines – more than 70 machines that handle large- or small-volume orders of components, regardless of complexity. Examples: an extensive group of CNC equipment with “Y”-axis capability and capacities of up to 60 millimetres; Davenport and Wickman multi-spindle machines with capacities of up to 1¾ inches; rotary-transfer Hydromat equipment with capacities of up to 45 millimetres; and single-spindle Brown and Sharpe machines with capacities of up to 2-3/8 inches.
  • Secondary-operation machines – machines that perform such secondary operations as machining, milling, assembly, drilling, tapping, and broaching, plus centreless and plunge grinding. Examples: Cincinnati and Royal Master centreless grinders; Brown and Sharpe single-spindle, secondary-operation automatic screw machines; and various vertical machining centres.

This range of machinery helps the L. & M. team manufacture virtually any custom parts in a cost-effective, efficient process. L. & M. can produce component parts for clients in various applications, such as welding components and assemblies, display connectors, fittings, screws and bushings, valve assemblies, and many other complex parts for a broad range of assemblies. Clients buy these parts for use in many sectors, like appliances, healthcare, plumbing, welding, oil and gas, electronics, display, and the automotive industry. L. & M. can satisfy any need with unsurpassed quality and efficiency.
