sensor transmitters

Chevrier Instruments carries a variety of sensor transmitters from KIMO.

Many Canadian companies trust Chevrier Instruments as a distributor for a wide variety of measurement and control devices – including those produced by KIMO Instruments, a major international source of high-quality measuring tools. This includes KIMO’s impressive line of sensor transmitters, which are recommended for many different industries, processes, building services, or indoor work environments.

KIMO’s sensor transmitters are all designed and manufactured at the corporation’s headquarters in France, and Chevrier carries many different models, ranging from the simplest designs to more complex instruments.

Four main types of transmitters

KIMO transmitters are suitable for many work applications, easy to configure, and designed with calculation functions. Their interchangeable measuring elements allow for simple maintenance and onsite calibration. All are waterproof, with ABS housing.

The four main categories of KIMO sensor transmitters are as follows:

  • Monostats. Recommended for refrigeration or air conditioning, these transmitters trigger a relay when the user reaches a predefined threshold and send the data through the relay on the regulation system. Advantages include fast installation and simple setup. Measurement ranges: -100 to 400 degrees Celsius for temperature; -20 to 80 degrees Celsius for humidity.
  • Class 110. Ideal for refrigeration, air conditioning, or original equipment manufacturing. Class 110 transmitters have analogue outputs that automatically adapt to configured measuring scale though dip switches or LCC-S software. Sensitive elements available as ambient, remote, or duct. Can measure temperature, humidity, air velocity, and pressure.
  • Class 210. Recommended for laboratories or general manufacturing. Include airtight, strong ABS housing, a large, two-line backlit LCD display, and a keyboard for configuration. Advanced calculation functions provide accurate readings on air and thermal-process conditions. Measures temperature, air velocity, pressure, and humidity.
  • Class 310. These multifunction sensor transmitters can measure temperature, air velocity, pressure, humidity, airflow, and air quality. Special features include interchangeable probes, four visual and audible alarms, a graphic display, keypad configuration, and fast, easy installation. Can measure up to four parameters.
