The MD-X Series three-axis hybrid laser marker from Keyence offers exceptional versatility and reliability. This innovative laser maker has a number of advanced features, including high peak power, high output, autofocus, multi-function camera and more.
High peak power and output
The MD-X laser marker is a hybrid that combines the advantages of both fibre and YVO4 oscillation methods. That means it can offer high peak power of up to 200 kilowatts, as well as high output of 25 watts on average. The high peak power helps to eliminate the effect of heat transfer, while the high output enables faster marking to increase production throughput.
Autofocusing
Another feature of the MD-X Series laser marker is its autofocus capabilities. It uses a built-in camera and laser pointer to determine the focal distance to the target, and automatically adjusts for variations. This ensures both ease of use and high-quality results.
Multi-function camera
Besides assisting with autofocusing, the built-in camera can also perform a number of other functions, including marking verification and 2D code reading. This eliminates the need for separate devices to perform these functions. To verify markings, the camera captures images both before and after marking, then compares differences in contrast to confirm that marking was successful. In addition, the camera can be used to prevent missed marks.
More information
The MD-X Series laser also features environmental resistance, as the marking head has an IP64 enclosure rating. Regardless of the type of facility and environmental challenges it poses, the laser marking system always offers high precision and accuracy.
