KEN FORGING to showcase rod ends at Industrial Fastener Expo

Rod ends are one of the products we are planning to showcase at Industrial Fastener Expo, the world’s largest fastener-themed trade show, at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.

Internal or external threads

A rod end is a type of hardware distinguished by its eye-shaped head, with an integral shank that forms housing for a spherical plain bearing. These devices are usually available with left- or right-hand threads, either internal or external. Rod ends are typically used for specific work applications, like being attached to the ends of piston rods or at the bases of hydraulic cylinders.

At Ken Forging, our extensive inventory of rod ends includes blanks and ones that we can machine according to specific client requirements. Materials used include 304 and 316 stainless steel, alloy steel 4140, and carbon steel of grades C1030-1035 and C1045. A range of sizes is available; for example, alloy steel blanks with shank diameters vary from ¼ of an inch to 2½ inches. Our finishes include plain, hot dip, electro-galvanized and electro-polished, while special heat-treating processes and custom plating services are available upon request. Our threading capabilities include UNC, UNF, metric, and ACME.
