ASL Roteq

The acquisition was announced on Nov. 6.

As a premier Canadian supplier of industrial fluid-handling equipment, John Brooks Company Limited offers an unmatched inventory. That impressive product lineup has recently expanded its aftermarket pump services: the company announced on Nov. 6 that it had acquired ASL Roteq Ltd. The entire ASL Roteq team will integrate into the John Brooks Company pump team.

Founded by Jeff Johnson in 2003 and currently based in Brampton, Ont., ASL Roteq provides end-to-end pump repairs, service, and training.

Expanded value for Brooks customers

According to John Brooks Company president Gord Bell, the acquisition will create expanded value for customers with increased pump repair services, field service, preventative and predictive maintenance, pump training, installation, and start-up.

“Many of our customers are continually seeking larger profit margins and driven to maximize return on their net assets,” says Bell. “As a result, they are often focused on maintaining, rebuilding, and repairing equipment they already have on hand.

“With the acquisition of ASL Roteq,” Bell adds, “John Brooks Company significantly expands its resources of expert service technicians, millwrights, and machinists that are available to serve our pump customers in the Ontario region.” As a team of experts in pumps, spray nozzles, filtration, valves, and engineered systems, John Brooks Company is a perfect match for ASL Roteq, which has been helping customers solve their pumping problems for 17 years.

Jeff Johnson, who will join John Brooks Company along with the rest of ASL Roteq, has been involved with the Water Environment Association of Ontario (WEAO) for several years, and he has written pump-maintenance articles for WEAO Influents Magazine on highlighting and resolving frequent pumping issues. He is the current chair and Pump Maintenance Event Coordinator of the Operator’s Challenge Committee; Johnson is also an MOE Director-approved trainer for his training course, “Understanding Pumping Systems.”

John Brooks Company was established in 1938 and continues to serve as a one-stop product and application specialist for industrial and municipal industries. The company offers an unsurpassed range of high-quality solutions that improve clients’ bottom lines.

John Brooks Company and ASL Roteq look forward to serving and supporting valued customers as a team.
