A pump in the Celeros ClydeUnion Simplex API 674 series of plunger units

Celeros Flow Technology’s ClydeUnion brand of centrifugal and reciprocating pumps is now available through John Brooks Company Limited. This includes two series of oil and gas reciprocating units that comply with the strict 674 standard by the American Petroleum Institute (API).

This group of plunger pumps can handle the minimum requirements for reciprocating positive displacement pumps, plus pumps for petroleum, petrochemicals, and gas.

Continuous duty with minimal maintenance

The ClydeUnion series of Simplex direct-acting reciprocating pumps is made with exceptional versatility to meet the needs of various pumping tasks efficiently. Celeros has designed this series to meet the heavy-duty requirements of continuous duty in general industry with minimal maintenance. These pumps are driven by steam, gas, or air, and some come with a power end that enables the use of electric motors.

The Simplex series is recommended for many pumping applications, including abrasive fluids, slurries, alcohol, ammonia, beverages, boiler feed, hydrostatic tests, liquid propane and butane, product transfers, tars, asphalts, and viscous foods like peanut butter and corn syrup. John Brooks Company carries several models of these reciprocating pumps.

Also available is the ClydeUnion Duplex series of direct-acting reciprocating pumps, also in several models and for the same applications as those of the Simplex series. While both the Simplex and Duplex series have similar designs and features, their key difference lies in the capacity: the Simplex group offers a capacity of up to 705 cubic metres per hour (m3/hr), while the Duplex series has capacity of up to 760 m3/hr. Both series offer delivery of up to 10,000 metres and speeds of up to 75 revolutions per minute, while handling temperatures up to 850 degrees Celsius.
