For example, Jacob has a Food Grade line of tubing systems constructed of high-grade steel, which is also suitable for use in pharmaceutical applications. The Food Grade line meets the stringent requirements of the American FDA regulations, and offers a high amount of product safety. The company’s Detectable Design line is also suitable for the pharma sector. All seals in this product line are made of silicone and incorporate tiny metal particles so that they can be identified by metal detectors.

For applications that require the handling of gaseous substances and aggressive chemical products, Jacob tubing systems are available in 316 stainless steel. In addition, they are available in diameters from 60 to 400 millimetres and material thickness from one to three millimetres.
