PB pavement breaker by Ingersoll Rand

Dobco Equipment Ltd. carries state-of-the-art construction tools by Ingersoll Rand (IR), which has been making worksites everywhere safer and more productive for more than a century and a half. The wide IR selection includes the unique PB series of concrete breakers, which are the ideal option for many construction tasks.

Boosting power while cutting expenses, with fewer components to wear out, IR pavement breakers work for bridge-deck resurfacing, general demolition, and much more.

Flex handle for maximum comfort

Many features set the PB series apart from competing tools. Each one has a standard flex handle that gives the user maximum comfort and increases productivity, as well as one-piece housing that eliminates the need for pricey side rods and springs. These concrete breakers from Dobco provide a high amount of power while reducing the amount of parts and items that wear out quickly. The Power-Strok piston, which delivers a powerful high-energy output, is another major advantage of these products.

The PB series comprises two designs, the PB35 and PB50, each of which is available in different models. The PB35AL8 and PB35AS8 units are both perfect for lightweight concrete demolition, as they weigh less. All four models are strong enough for the toughest applications, and each has a built-in lubricator that helps to ensure sufficient lubrication, plus two roll pinds and removal of the housing plug on the top head to simplify service access. Two other models, the PB35AS8 and the PB50AS1, also have mufflers that cut back on noise emission.

Each of these pavement breakers has a bore diameter that measures 44 millimetres (mm) and a stroke length that measures 159 mm. Other specifications:

  • minimum hose size of 19 mm
  • air inlet of ¾ of an inch NPT
  • weight that ranges from 18 to 25 kilograms
  • length of 625 (PB35) or 699 (PB50) mm with no accessory
  • air consumption of 1,388 (PB35) or 1,643 (PB50) litres per minute
  • capability of 1,150 (PB50) or 1,250 (PB35) blows per minute

A second line of breakers – the MX series – is available from IR for heavier construction tasks.
