Among the many Interface products available are fatigue-rated, calibration, six-axis, or wireless load cells, as well as telemetry load shackles. From aerospace to packaging
The Interface 2404 is a standard stainless steel two-wire amplified load cell, available in two models, the 2424 and the 2434. It is designed specifically for tasks that require hermetic seals in general industrial applications. This device is versatile enough to serve businesses in numerous industries; Durham Instruments recommends the 2404 for use in general manufacturing, aerospace, automation, food processing, forestry, education, the medical field, the military, mining, packaging, power generation, alternative energy, transportation, and research and development.
Among the features of the 2404 load cell are its stainless steel construction, tension and compression, counter-bored mounting holes, proprietary Interface temperature-compensated strain gauges, and internal amplification with a 4-20 mA output. In addition, the device is hermetically sealed and offers capacities ranging from 0.44 to 22.2 kilonewtons (kN).
Interface recommends using a base with this device. Other options available include a Transducer Electronic Data Sheet, custom calibration, special threads, a special temperature range, and a PTWIH-10-6P connector. Accessories include a mating connector, loading hardware, and other instrumentation. Technical specifications of this amplified load cell include the following:
- Measuring range: 0.44 to 4.45 kN for the 2424; 89 or 22.2 kN for the 2434.
- Accuracy: plus or minus 0.1 per cent FS non-linearity; plus or minus 0.08 per cent FS hysteresis; plus or minus 0.03 per cent RO non-repeatability; and plus or minus 0.05 per cent creep in 20 minutes.
- Compensated temperature range: minus ten to 45 degrees Celsius.
- Operating temperature range: -20 to 200 degrees Celsius.
- Natural frequency: from 1.3 to 11.7 kilohertz.
- Safe overload: plus or minus 150 per cent CAP.
