Hi-Tech Duravent's IBH insulation-blowing hose

Hi-Tech Duravent has a portfolio of hosing products so vast and diverse that it can meet an unmatched range of industrial needs. One popular item is the IBH insulation-blowing hose – a flexible, durable hose constructed to satisfy all of the demands of the insulation sector with many unique benefits. An ideal options for ventilation, exhaust, and de-humidification tasks, the IBH can also blow insulation in a broad variety of construction projects, reliably and economically.

Low weight and high flexibility

Blown insulation is an efficient, economical method of installing insulation in construction projects. Built specifically for the needs of the insulation sector, this hose is designed for long service life and effectiveness in this field. The municipal and facilities-service industries also rely on the IBH for all kinds of insulation-blowing applications, and it is suitable for makers of rental, dehumidifier, and air/fume-removal equipment.

This hose has a durable exterior that makes it easy for users to drag along the ground without damage, plus a tough interior that is built to withstand the rigours of blowing insulation. Its wall and non-marking external helix are both constructed out of polyethylene. Other major user benefits of this insulation-blowing hose: a clear wall for locating and preventing blockage; low weight; high flexibility; and high crush, abrasion, chemical, and moisture resistance.

Another advantage that distinguishes this insulation-blowing hose from Hi-Tech Duravent is that it can be used in a wide range of air temperatures – from minus 34 to 54 degrees Celsius. It also has an interior texture designed to fluff the insulation as it blows out.

The IBH is available from Hi-Tech Duravent in standard lengths of 50 feet and in six different sizes, with inner diameters going from 38.1 to 101.6 millimetres. Working pressures range from 15 to 31 pounds per square inch, with vacuum ratings from eight to above 29 inches of mercury, bend radii from 2½ to six, wall thicknesses from 0.021 to 0.024, and weight from 0.16 to 0.47 pounds per foot. Each hose has a compression ratio of one to ¾.
