Ingersoll Rand acquires Tuthill Pumps and expands its portfolio

Tuthill makes custom pumps solutions.

Dobco Equipment Ltd. offers one of the widest ranges of industrial equipment in the Canadian market, with solutions manufactured by a broad spectrum of international manufacturers. And now, the Dobco portfolio has expanded even further: Ingersoll Rand (IR), already a staple of the Dobco family, has acquired the Tuthill Pumps lineup.

Known for the high reliability of its pumps, Tuthill joins a world-class group of IR pump brands, like Oberdorfer, MP Pumps, ARO, Milton Roy, and SEEPEX.

Industry standard for a century

With this acquisition, the leaders in the pump industry have just gotten stronger. For more than a century, the Tuthill brand has been setting the industry standard for process, lubrication, and magnetically coupled pumps. The manufacturer has been known for its engineering design and expertise, which allows them to create dependable pumping solutions for the most challenging applications.

Tuthill pumps offer industry-leading solutions for exact, accurate flow for metering and dosing, and also for circulation and lubrication applications. As part of its IR selection, Dobco will supply the following Tuthill options:

• Industrial process pumps. Including the GlobalGear series of internal gear pumps, with a modular design that reduces switching costs and more reliable components, and a line of heavy-duty cumferential piston process pumps that can run dry indefinitely.
• Magnetically coupled pumps. Three series are available in this category, including the D and W series of magnetically coupled gear pumps and the standard T series.
• Lubrication pumps. Four series of units, including the C series of circulation pumps and the CC series of close-coupled pumps. In addition, the L series has an internal gear pump design with compact and flexible drive options, while the 1000 series has advanced features that make installation simpler.
• Pumps powered by ORBIS technology. The D series is recommended for such scenarios as clinical chemistry, continuous ink jet, dialysis equipment, laser cooling, and slide staining.
• Custom solutions. Through IR, Tuthill offers such customized pump options as stripped lubrication pumps and the TR series of lubrication pumps, the latter designed strictly for applications in original equipment manufacturing.
