Process Instruments & Components offers the BTC01 standalone industrial box thin client from Pepperl+Fuchs. Ideal for modular virtualized HMI systems, the BTC01 is an industrial-grade product that is robust, reliable and easy to use.

Key features and advantages

The BTC01 comes preloaded with Pepperl+Fuchs’ proprietary operating system, RM Shell 4.0, and can also be purchased ACP ThinManager ready. Thanks to the incorporation of VisuNet RM Shell 4.0 software, the BTC01 offers an easy-to-use touchscreen optimized user interface that simplifies integration, advanced security features, auto-connect and connection-loss features, and Windows Embedded Standard 7. The unit can run up to four systems at the same time, and restricts operators to predefined web addresses. It comes ready to use out of the box, and is fully customizable.

The BTC01 is built on an aluminium chassis with a fanless design. Pepperl+Fuchs has eliminated all internal moving parts, and has enabled a safe operating temperature range between -200 and 600 degrees C. It is designed for harsh environments, offering both shock- and vibration-resistance. In addition, the unit features a small, compact design. It weighs less than eight pounds, and can be easily mounted to a wall, inside a cabinet or operate on a desktop.

Availability

The BTC01 is available in Canada from Process Instruments & Components (P.I.C.), an established Canadian industrial controls distributor based in Markham, Ont. P.I.C. offers products from leading manufacturers like Pepperl+Fuchs, a company known for its broad range of robust solutions for process automation markets and hazardous locations.
