N.R. Murphy Limited has been renowned for innovative, high-performance dust collectors for 80 years, but the manufacturer’s lineup contains more. The company provides a selection of exhausters, for instance. These exhausters are available with different exhauster wheels, each of these wheels designed for a specific area of capacity and pressure, for air or material handling.

N.R. Murphy aims for the highest standards and constructs its own exhausters, in sizes from four to 37 inches in inlet diameter, made according to exact specifications.

The following exhauster-wheel series are available from N.R. Murphy:

• EH – an open wheel for virtually any material-handing requirement, made from extra-heavy steel plates to resist high shock and abrasion in applications with high material volumes. Recommended for handling air containing small wood blocks, knots, or paper trims with nose cones in their designs.
• EHL – design similar to that of the EH, but for standard material-handling needs.
• EM-1 – similar to the EH, but slightly more efficient, with a back plate and individual blade supports for added rigidity and strength. The plate prevents wood shavings and long, fibrous, or stringy materials from wrapping around the blades. Recommended for sawdust chips and similar items.
• EA-1 – a backward-inclined, radial-tipped design with a coned shroud and back plate for extra rigidity, plus a controlled inlet clearance to guide airflow. For relatively clean air and pulling air through filters and separators; not for materials.

N.R. Murphy exhausters are available in different arrangements with accessories for virtually all applications. All exhausters are digitally balanced for perfect function, with optional construction for heavy abrasive materials and spark resistance.
