air quality meters

Chevrier offers three TSI indoor air quality meters.

TSI Incorporated manufactures many innovative test and measurement solutions that are available to the Canadian industrial market via Chevrier Instruments Inc. Now, Chevrier can supply three models from the TSI line of indoor air quality meters: the IAQ-CALC Models 7515, 7525, and 7525. These are outstanding devices for investigating and monitoring air quality in indoor work environments. Among the applications for which TSI recommends these instruments are indoor air quality (IAQ) evaluations, verification of HVAC system performance in buildings, examinations of IAQ conditions in buildings to optimize employee productivity, and regulation or guideline compliance.

Sensors for stable, accurate readings

The IAQ-CALC Model 7515 is a cost-efficient solution for measuring carbon dioxide, or CO2, while Models 7525 and 7545 can each measure and data-log multiple parameters at the same time. Both of the latter models can measure CO2, temperature, and humidity and calculate dew point, wet bulb temperature, and percentage outside air, and the Model 7545 can also detect carbon monoxide, or CO.

All three of these TSI air quality meters from Chevrier have low-drift, non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensors for stable, accurate readings. Each also has a sampling function that records multiple point measurements, plus an ergonomic, over-moulded case design.

Among the features and benefits of the Model 7525 and 7545: temperature and relative humidity measurements, to help determine thermal comfort; calculation of percentage outside air from either CO2 or temperature; direct calculation of dew point and wet bulb temperatures; ability to display up to three parameters; TSI LogDat2 software, which allows simple transfer of information to a computer; and a statistics function that displays average, maximum, and minimum values plus the amount of recorded samples. The Model 7545 also has an electrochemical sensor that measures CO. Users can review data onscreen or download them to a computer to generate reports easily.

Selected specifications for the Model 7525 and 7545 air quality meters:

  • Weight: 270 grams, with batteries
  • Dimensions: 17.8 by 1.9 centimetres
  • Power requirements: four AA batteries or AC adapter
  • Operating temperature: five to 45 degrees Celsius
  • Storage temperature: -20 to 60 degrees Celsius
