With these technological tools, the Daemar custom-seal manufacturing team achieves short lead times for quick prototyping and small-batch seal production. Since standards do not always comply with application requirements, the company uses various processes for seal applications that need unique sizes or elastomers for special conditions.

The following manufacturing processes for custom seals are available from Daemar:

• Cast urethane – a method for standard symmetrical U-cups, loaded seals, thin-lip U-cups, dual-durometer U-cups, and feathered or asymmetrical lip designs. Other options include large-diameter polyurethane seals, dual-durometer seals, custom polyurethane over-moulding, bumpers, wheels, custom numbering, and private branding.
• CNC machining – high-end, rapid-production CNC equipment used to manufacture fully computer-designed quick custom seals with varying profiles and diameters. Examples include pistons, rods, Teflon, rotary seals, wipers, guide rings, backup rings, and gaskets.
• CNC router table – CNC routing flange protectors from solid plastic and corrugated plastic sheets, in addition to cutting flange gaskets.
• Elastomer extrusions – turnkey custom elastomer extrusion, from design through engineering to production. Extrusions are available in sold and foam rubber, in most of the standard elastomers, from simple shapes to complication profiles.
• Injection moulding – injection-moulded components designed and produced by the digital manufacturing team, in polyurethane, polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon, and other materials.
• Optical part inspection – a kind of seal production involving three-axis measurement and inspection of parts, generating graphical representations of measured parts and detailed reports.
• Vulcanizing and cold splicing – vulcanized O-rings that are quick, cost-effective solutions for static sealing tasks needing nonstandard-diameter O-rings. Numerous inch and cord diameters available, with various elastomers and durometers for shorter lead times.
