Hytrol’s ProSort 400 Elite ideal for high-speed applications

Hytrol’s ProSort 400 Elite family of sorters is designed to quietly handle high-speed applications that require positive and gentle diverting. And, with multiple models available, users can easily find one to meet the demands of their specific application. 

The family

The ProSort 421 is designed to sort products at a 22-degree angle where high speeds are required. This particular model can handle speeds up to 700 feet per minute. The ProSort 431, on the other hand, is ideal for sorting products at a 30-degree angle where close divert centers are required. However, this model can only handle speeds up to 350 feet per minute. Both are single-sided sorters, with diverting possible from either side.

If the application requires dual-sided sorting, the ProSort 422 and 432 are the ideal options. These models use a dual-sided wraparound shoe that enables sorting in either direction. The shoe fits the same slat as the single-sided model, and is designed to be resistant to jams. This allows for an increased carton rate with a higher throughput. The center switch used with the dual-sided option does not require electric or pneumatic service for operation.

The features

ProSort 400 Elite sorters offer many features and advantages. These include a low friction wrap-around shoe, wide anodized aluminum slats, a polyurethane bearing track, two standard divert options, and the easy integration of the ProLogix controls package, which enables fast and trouble-free startup, consistent and reliable sortation, as well as built-in diagnostics and statistics. The sorters work with Hytrol's Plug-N-Go wiring for quick and easy installation. In addition, they are equipped with rubber isolators to reduce noise, as well as an access panel and extra switch to minimize downtime. 

The system includes a standard variable speed drive for optimizing sorter operation during peak and non-peak periods, making it flexible enough to meet the needs of a variety of applications.
