Hytrol expanding tech centre, to showcase newest material-handling product

Hytrol is expanding its Technology Center over the next year.

Norpak Handling is a proud Integration Partner for Hytrol Conveyor Co., representing their innovative conveyor solutions throughout the Canadian market.  Next year, Hytrol’s latest conveyor product lines are going to be showcased in their upgraded and expanded Technology Center. The manufacturer has announced that it is upgrading the Center over the coming months.

Better research and promotion

Hytrol is investing US$1.5 million in this upgrade, which will improve the Technology Center’s infrastructure and enable the company to showcase new material-handling products more effectively. The renovation is expected to be completed in the middle of 2018, after which Hytrol will be in even better shape to create new products.

The expansion will consist of two phases:

1. A new research and development laboratory, product showcase area, and client experience studio. Hytrol is enhancing its research and development department to make its conveyor solutions more innovative than before. The client experience studio will include product displays, a theatre, a virtual-reality simulation space and a demonstration space for augmented reality. The showcase area and experience studio will enlighten both current and future clients about the latest technology in the material-handling industry. This phase is due for completion next March.
2. A new multilevel infrastructure. The improved Technology Center will have a multilevel material-handling system that will provide more room for production. This phase is due for completion in June.

Technology is changing at a breakneck rate these days, and Hytrol intends to keep pace with it by building an updated facility. As soon as this renovation project has been completed, the company expects to create better and newer conveyor solutions than ever before.
