Bansbach’s easymotion hydraulic linear actuation system, available from Wainbee

Wainbee Limited remains a major Canadian supplier of industrial equipment and components, and it distributes a number of products for precision control. This includes German manufacturer Bansbach’s easymotion system, which is a hydraulic linear actuator that can control multiple adjustment cylinders synchronously by simultaneously controlling each cylinder with an electric motor or manual crank.

The easymotion system can fit onto any application and is customizable to suit any specific requirements, even multiple table legs. Bansbach uses its own gas-spring components in the production of this hydraulic linear actuator, to maintain a high standard of quality.

A variety of applications

The easymotion hydraulic linear actuator consists of a hydraulic pump, adjustment cylinders, and tubes used to connect components. Bansbach recommends the system for numerous work applications, such as workbenches, assembling tables, lecterns, sales counters, and mobile workshops; it is also highly useful with medical and rehabilitation equipment, like hospital beds, massage tables, laboratory furniture, and bathtubs.

Three types of adjustment cylinders are available: the E-Cylinder, A-Cylinder, and Z-Cylinder. The E-Cylinder has a small installation measurement that allows users to integrate it into almost any application, but it is not designed to absorb side forces on its own. The A-Cylinder can be mounted directly on a moveable part, and further guidance is not necessary. The Z-Cylinder is a blend of a hydraulic adjustment cylinder and a gas traction spring, which can be installed in any position; it enables users to compress the system without external compression force.

All types of cylinders have a stroke length from 150 to 400 millimetres (mm). Sixty Newtons of force per E-Cylinder or A-Cylinder is required for compression, whereas the Z-Cylinder needs 100 Newtons. Special strokes are also available, up to 600 mm for the E-Cylinder and up to 800 mm for the A-Cylinder and Z-Cylinder.

Other parts and accessories available from Wainbee include pumps, control systems for electric motors, mounting clamps, hydraulic hoses, feet, brackets, and refill kits. Between one and six adjustment cylinders are required, mounted with connecting parts, and the system can handle a maximum weight of 600 kilograms.
