Nine models of Hydra-Cell sealless pumps are available from John Brooks Company Limited.

John Brooks Company Limited partners with many reputable manufacturers of fluid-control solutions, including Hydra-Cell. The lineup includes several types of sealless pumps, or positive displacement pumps with sealless pumping chambers – with no seals, packing or cups to leak or replace. These units run dry indefinitely without any damage.

Due to their sealless design and check valves, these pumps handle tough abrasives and particulates that would damage other pumps.

Versatile, reliable, and economical

Hydra-Cell sealless pumps have a multiple-diaphragm design that offers virtually pulseless, linear flow, with no costly pulsation dampeners required and exceeding API 675 standards for accuracy, linearity, and repeatability. They tolerate abrasive solids and particulate matter of up to 800 microns and nine hardness without fine filtration. Available from John Brooks Company in nine models, they have low-shear pumping action that ensures integrity of long-chain structures.

Top reliability is another key advantage. The pumps’ robust design tolerates non-ideal operating conditions, and they usually run up to 6,000 hours between lubricating oil changes. Hydra-Cell sealless pumps can pump acids, slurries, and fluids containing up to 40 per cent non-dissolved solids, and they do not rely on the liquid being pumped for lubrication. They have no tight tolerances susceptible to corrosion or solid particles.

The versatility of these pumps is unsurpassed, with various styles available to pump a broad variety of flow capacities and pressure ratings. The hydraulically balanced diaphragms pump low-to-high-viscosity fluids throughout each pump’s full pressure range. Various construction materials available meet a wide range of applications and ensure optimum pumping life even when handling aggressive liquids. The design enables easy interchangeability of pump head materials and accommodates mixing different materials with one pump head.

Another major benefit is economy: users save approximately 30 to 50 per cent on initial costs, as these pumps use lower-horsepower motors for the same flow rates and pressures that competing pumps do. The small footprint uses floorspace efficiently, and they operate at 85-90 per cent energy efficiency to lower operating expenses. The sealless design reduces maintenance and repair costs, while minimizing expenses for spare parts.
